Workflow creation made easy with Nintex Workflow 2007

My first Post!!!

Lets get right to it. While doing some research to try and figure out a workflow problem that I've been having, I came across the website for a company called Nintex. They sell a pretty cool piece of software that allows you to create custom WWF (Windows Workflow Foundation) based workflows pretty much on the fly, the software is actually a GUI that snaps right into the SharePoint interface. The software is called Nintex Workflow 2007.

You can create a custom list, and right from within the list itself, you can click on Settings and the option to create a workflow for that list will be available. I liked that, I don't need to go to another application and deploy my custom workflow, I can do it all from within sharepoint.

But............there is always a but...

It is pricey! You get three difference editions. A Standard, Enterprise, and Workgroup edition. Below is are the details...

Nintex Workflow 2007 - Standard Edition is priced per server at $8,750.00
Nintex Software Assurance is priced per server at $1,925.00

Nintex Workflow 2007 - Enterprise Edition is priced per server at $17,500.00
Nintex Software Assurance is priced per server at $3,850.00

Nintex Workflow 2007 - Workgroup Edition is priced for 5 site activations at $3,000.00
Nintex Software Assurance is priced for 5 site activations at $660.00

So this is not for the faint of heart, you must really be committed to creating massive BPM Workflow solutions using SharePoint. I've got some pretty hefty requirements for my business processes, so I am really considering this product.

If I decide to take the plunge and try it out, I will definitely post about it. And if any of you have experience with this product, please leave a comment and tell us about it.
